When will the school be open?
The school will open on the 8th of Septembre 2010.

Where is the school?
The school is in Holland Park (W11) 3 minutes walk from Holland Park tube station. Our address is: 154 Holland Park Avenue -W11 4UH. For futher information click here.

What about the fees?
Our aim is to have a school really open to all. For this reason we have started a Charity and begun a fundraising campaign to raise the money required to set up the school. Our fees are £8000 + £500 development fee. Without financial backing from the Italian Government this is the lowest fee we can charge to cover the school running costs.

What the criteria for admission?
There are no admission criteria. Priority will be given to those who apply first. For the Primary School, priority will be also given to those children who attended the Early Years in our School.

The school will start with Early Years and Primary School. What about Secondary and High School?
The general plan is for the school to take students from Early Years (age 3) up to the end of high school (maturità). To begin with the school will only offer nursery education and the first three years of primary education  it will then gradually build up as the children grow older.

How will the quality of teaching be inspected?
When the school opens it will be registered as an independent school and be inspected by the appropriate bodies (Ofsted/ISI).

What will the teachers’ nationality be?
La scuola italiana a Londra will be a bilingual school where the subjects  taught will be in both languages. Therefore there will be Italian mother tongue teachers and English mother tongue teachers. To read more click here.

Is the school only for those who want to go back to Italy?
No,  the school will have a completely bilingual and bicultural curriculum in which the Italian national curriculum is integrated and completed by its English counterpart. The curricula are meant to help students to transfer back into both the Italian and English system easily.
